This time we have one of Juvenile athletes Ciara Dolan. Ciara has come through the kids sessions in the Pres right up to the success she has had.

How long have you been a member of Menapian’s AC : Since 2012 I think

Interests outside athletics : Basketball, Gaelic football , Drama also love watching Mayo Matches…….except for when they’re playing Dublin!

Events you have competed at : 800m,1500m,3.5km,4km,2000m s/c , 3000m s/c, 300m hurdles , 4x100m relays, long jump

Favourite event : steeplechase

Least favourite event : high jump and throws

Biggest athletics achievement : bronze in national u17 steeplechase

Do you hold any records : not for running……….maybe for talking though

Favourite moments of your athletic career : Probably the u-12/13/14 county/Leinster relays they were really fun, a great experience and it was nice competing as a team .

Favourite track you have competed on : Ferrybank track in Waterford Least favourite place you’ve competed: Santry for xc

Who has been your inspiration both in athletics & outside athletics : In Athletics Ciara Mageean/ my teammates

Favourite food/drink : I love watermelons, I also love pizza

Post training snack : bananas and water

Some unusual facts about yourself : when I was younger I hated long distance, neither of my parents or grandparents are from Wexford , I’ve the same birthday as my Mam and great-aunty and we’re all the second oldest in our families.
