Ballymurn 5k
The Ballymurn community came together to host their very popular 5k race today for the 9th time. As always a very well organised event which is a staple on the running calender for local athletes. The atmosphere in the village centre is fantastic as all level of athletes and children mingle as they make their way to the start line. Today the weather was near perfect for running as the day was nice and fresh without it being too cold and not a raindrop in sight. The refreshments afterwards were a welcome sight for everyone. Thank you and well done to Bobby Redmond and his team of volunteers for hosting another fantastic 5k. Club results below :

Charlie Curran 5 mile.
Some club members took to Carlow this morning to take on the Charlie Curran 5 mile run. They joined over 400 others o the route of the very popular race. With almost ideal running conditions they all performed well on the day and everyone was very happy with their performance.
Speedy recovery to Sharron Dier who picked up a slight injury and correctly took the decision to stop her race. Congratulations folks.
