How long have you been a member of Menapians AC: A year

Interests & achievements outside athletics: I enjoy playing samba, doing yoga, walking and spending time with friends and family. I enjoy current affairs and co-hosted a weekly community radio show over the past 6 years

Events you have competed at: I’ve taken part in several community 5 and 10K events, parkruns, county road races, the County Relays, Dublin Women’s Mini Marathons and the Wexford Half Marathon

Favourite event: Dublin Women’s Mini Marathons

Least favourite event: Never met an event I didn’t enjoy in some way!

Biggest athletics achievement: Completing my first Wexford Half Marathon in April

Other athletics achievements: Being on the women’s team which won a bronze medal in the County Wexford novice road race in Kilmore earlier this year

Do you hold any records: I was more of a CDs kind of person!

Favourite moment of your athletic career: Getting personal best times in parkrun

Favourite track you have competed on: I haven’t competed on any tracks yet

Who has been your inspiration both in athletics & outside athletics: In athletics, my inspirations are my good friend Helen Wallace and all of those who step up and take part and smash their own goals at whatever level

Outside athletics, my biggest inspiration was my nannie who overcame challenges, lived to be 100 and still kept a beaming smile and an open mind

Favourite food/drink: I love thai food, burritos and tea!

Post training snack: Usually a banana or a Vegan Magnum on a hot day

Some unusual facts about yourself: I was born on the night of ‘the fireworks’ in Wexford and I once had a walk-on child’s part in an opera
