Leinster Junior/Senior/Masters Championships.

There was superb weather conditions over the weekends Leinster Championships which were held in the SETU Carlow campus. Our athletes were busy across a range of events with Tracey & Ilze competing at Leinster for the first time and impressing on their debut !

On Saturday Catherine O'Connor won the W55 1500m with a great run.

Martin Kelly shows age is no barrier with a win in the M65 1500m.

Roisín O'Reilly running under the UCD colours was impressive as she continues to show her class while winning the 1500m.

Day 2 on Sunday saw Roisín return to grab silver over 3000m.

Not to be outdone Catherine returned and won the W55 3000m, a great weekend for Mother & Daughter.

Ilze Bedrite doubled up for 200m & 800m as she made her Leinster debut, running W45 and finishing just outside medals with 5th over 200m & 4th over 800m.

Tracey Nolan also making her Leinster debut doubled up on discus & hammer. Throwing in W45 she was 3rd in hammer and also 3rd in discus.

Congratulations to all our athletes and thanks to everyone who travelled and officiated on both days.
